Day 1

Depart the UK for your flight to Hanoi.

Day 2

Arrive in Hanoi and transfer privately to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to relax after your flight. Your guide can recommend some local sightseeing for early arrivals or we can add in an extra tour.

Day 3

After a lie in and breakfast, depart for a guided city tour of Hanoi. See Ho Chi Minh's resting place, the Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda - all must see landmarks. This evening you may fancy a street food tour or relaxing with a cocktail at a roof top bar.

Day 4

This morning transfer to Halong Bay for your overnight cruise. Board your junk boat and set sail to spend the night on the water. An essential element in any Vietnam holiday!

Day 5

After an unforgettable cruise, great food and excellent service, say goodbye to your crew and continue south to Hue (just a short flight from Hanoi)

Day 6

Today spend a full day in Hue - start with a guided city tour to the Imperial Citadel, ancient tombs and perfume river before spending the afternoon relaxing at your hotel overlooking the river or exploring further. Don't miss out on the great food here!

Day 7

After breakfast depart by road for Hoi An and travel over the Hai Van Pass (as featured on Top Gear UK). Arrive in Hoi An late morning and spend the rest of the day at your leisure - explore the markets, relax on the white sand beaches or get yourself a new suit at the excellent tailors in town.

Day 8

A short cycle ride this morning will take you to Tra Que Vegetable Village where you can join in with the locals and get your hand's dirty. After some farming fun you will have the chance to learn how to cook some local delicacies with your hosts before a yummy lunch. The rest of the day is free to relax.

Day 9

A full day at your leisure in Hoi An - spend the day on the beach, hop on a boat to the Cham Islands for some snorkelling or travel by jeep for a 4WD adventure to the My Son ruins.

Day 10

Morning flight to Saigon for a relaxed afternoon in the city. Wander through the city streets at your own pace and head to Benh Tanh Market to shop like the locals. This evening we highly recommend adding in a Street Food Tour by Vespa - one of our favourite tours in Saigon!

Day 11

Today depart for a full day tour to the tranquil backwaters in the Mekong Delta. Cruise around by local sampan or spend time cycling through back-lanes. Highlights will include a visit to the floating markets, local villages and the tropical treats you will discover along the way.

Day 12

After breakfast enjoy a guided tour to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an impressive underground network of tunnels used in the war. This afternoon check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your departing flight back to the UK
