Day 1

Fly overnight from London to Hanoi.

Day 2

Arrive in Vietnam's capital, Hanoi. The remainder of the day is at leisure, recuperating after your international flights. For early arrivals we highly recommend an evening street food tour to introduce you to the wonderful local cuisine.

Day 3

Half day city tour of Hanoi, including a visit to the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, the Temple of Literature and The One Pillar Pagoda founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049. Spend the afternoon at leisure - we recommend exploring the Old Quarter and indulging in some delicious, authentic cuisine at one of the city's many eateries.

Day 4

Leave Hanoi early this morning for the 2.5 hour drive to Halong Bay, where you board a traditional junk boat for an overnight cruise. You will have the opportunity to disembark and explore the remarkable floating fishing villages, spend some time on a hidden beach or even learn how to fish for squid!

Day 5

A leisurely morning of cruising through Halong Bay brings you back to the harbour in late morning. Drive back to Hanoi for a flight south to Hoi An in the late afternoon. Spend the evening at your leisure.

Day 6

Full day in Hoi An, with a walking tour in the morning. The afternoon at leisure - you may choose to head out to the Cham ruins at My Son or simply spend time on the beach.

Day 7

Fly down to Saigon and take a visit to the Cu Chi District for a visit to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels - an incredible underground tunnel network around 1.5 hours away from the city. After your tour, spend the afternoon at leisure in Saigon. We recommend visiting one of the many rooftop skybars this evening as the city really comes alive at night!

Day 8

Spend your final day exploring Saigon with a half day guided city tour. Take in the main sites of the city and end your tour with a visit to a traditional Vietnamese coffee shop where you can sit down and drink coffee like locals whilst you reflect on your whirlwind adventure through Vietnam.

Day 9

Depart Saigon in the morning or afternoon for your flight back to the UK.
