Day 1
Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Hanoi
Day 2
Arrive into Hanoi, where you will be met by your private guide and drive and transfer to your city centre hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure to relax after your flight
Day 3
This morning enjoy a private orientating city tour, featuring Ho Chi Minh's former residence, the Temple of Literature and one or two of the museums. End the tour in the Old Quarter. In the early evening head out into the city streets for a unique street food tour - this can be enjoyed as a walking tour, or for the more adventurous, by vintage vespa!
Day 4
This morning continue to Ninh Binh to enjoy the scenic quintessence of Vietnam. Enjoy a private guided tour of Tam Coc & Hoa Lu, including time cruising on a local sampan or cycling through the countryside
Day 5
Spend the day at your leisure - add on a cooking class, learn how to fish with the locals or even try your hand at traditional crafts such as embroidery or bamboo weaving
Day 6
Morning transfer to Halong, where you will board a traditional Vietnamese junk for an overnight cruise. Spend the afternoon cruising around Halong Bay's thousands of limestone islets and caves, with opportunity to swim, kayak and visit floating fishing villages
Day 7
Wake up early to witness sunrise over Halong Bay. The cruise continues for several hours after breakfast, returning to the mainland at midday. Transfer to back to Hanoi airport, taking in a pottery village en route, and then take a flight south to Central Vietnam. On arrival transfer to your hotel in Hoi An
Day 8
Full day at your leisure in Hoi An to acquaint yourselves with the beautiful white sand beaches
Day 9
Second day at leisure in Hoi An. We highly recommend getting out into the countryside or taking a walking tour of the ancient riverside town
Day 10
Day at your leisure in Hoi An - we recommend adding in a cooking class today as Hoi An is certainly the best place to pick up some new culinary skills
Day 11
Day at your leisure in Hoi An to relax on the beach
Day 12
Final day at leisure in Hoi An. If you fancy seeing a bit more of the country we can add in a day tour to Hue or even a 4WD Jeep tour to the UNESCO site of My Son
Day 13
A morning flight will take you down to the South of the country for some time in Saigon - the ideal way to end your holiday. Soak up the colonial charm of the city this afternoon and spend time at leisure. This evening depart on a foodie discovery and explore the city by vintage Vespa - an experience not to be missed!
Day 14
Day at leisure to explore Saigon at your own pace. For those after a little more sightseeing, we highly recommend a day tour to the Mekong Delta or even an overnight cruise for a more in depth experience
Day 15
This morning visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels with your guide and explore the network of caves, try your hand at an AK47 or learn about the history of the war. Return to the city and spend the afternoon at leisure. We recommend a visit to the War Remnants Museum and Benh Tanh Market
Day 16
Transfer to the airport in Saigon this morning or afternoon for your flight back to the UK

Our 16 day Vietnam summer beach holiday is the perfect mix of sightseeing and relaxation between the months of March to September. On this 16 day tour you will arrive in Hanoi to soak up a slice of city life and indulge in some incredible street food before heading towards Ninh Binh and Halong Bay to experience the quintessence of Vietnam. Sail by sampan boat through breathtaking valleys, cycle through glistening paddy fields and cruise around the emerald waters of Halong Bay. After a cultural immersion, continue South to the enchanting old town of Hoi An to relax on the white sand beaches, tour the towns lantern lit streets and cook up in storm in one of the best local restaurants. To finish your holiday, head to the buzzing city of Saigon for a taste of Colonial charm and some last minute shopping before catching your flight back to the UK.

For those looking for a beach break between the months of November to March, we can also tailor this to include a stay on the sun-kissed beaches of Phu Quoc, Phan Thiet or Con Dao Island.
