In a prime location within the hectic streets of the Old Quarter, you are only a few paces away from some of the best bars, restaurants and haggle-worthy shops in Hanoi. The hotel itself has one of the best rooftop bars in the area, so this is one occasion where you’d be forgiven for staying in for dinner – make the most of these city views with a cocktail in your hand. Staff are wonderful and helpful, and will happily recommend places nearby to explore and dine when you do wish to leave.

Rooms are modestly decorated but a good size for this area of the city, with lovely features and touches throughout – big comfortable mattresses upon pretty rattan bed-frames, powerful rain-showers to rinse away a day of travelling or sightseeing. As well as the restaurant on the roof, the hotel has a banh mi cafe on the ground floor – so you can enjoy a traditional Vietnamese sandwich for your lunch while taking a break from exploring or after arriving from your international flight.

The local area is famed for both it’s nightlife and the night market, and the street outside can be loud and hectic until around midnight. Although your bedroom will have very good soundproofing, this isn’t the place to stay if you want some peace and quiet after the sun has set – but it’s perfect if you want to head out for some local bia hoi – the cheapest and freshest draft beer in the country.
