The rooms of The Northern have been recently refurbished. Therefore they have less of an ‘old world’ feel than other comparable properties in this price bracket, indeed they are positively well-appointed and of a good size for a city centre hotel. Bathrooms are particularly good. Flat screen TVs and free WiFi throughout comes as standard – 3-star hotels across Europe could learn from their Vietnamese equivalents!

The rooftop bar is a pleasant place for an early evening drink, after which you will no doubt head out in to the restaurants and bars of Saigon which are quite literally on your doorstep. No taxis required. Breakfast is a buffet arrangement in the ‘Melody Restaurant‘ on the mezzanine floor, with both Asian and Western options covered. The management are very eager to please (to maintain their impressive TripAdvisor rating), well aware that there is plenty of competition at this level in Saigon. Currently The Northern is a clear step ahead of the following pack.
